Passion Project

Serving as the Vice President of Marketing for my sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta, was a pivotal experience that fueled my passion for graphic design and marketing.

In this role, I was responsible for creating promotional materials for events, managing recruitment campaigns, and enhancing our overall brand presence. The hands-on work required me to dive deep into understanding our target audience—both current and prospective members—and tailor our marketing to resonate with them effectively.

This experience not only allowed me to sharpen my Canva skills, but it also sparked a realization of how much I enjoyed the creative process. From designing eye-catching flyers and social media graphics to crafting cohesive event branding, I found myself leaning more into the visual storytelling aspect of marketing. My role gave me confidence in my design abilities, which encouraged me to expand my creative services beyond my sorority. What started with making resumes for friends soon grew into offering branding packages and design work for small businesses and non-profits, paving the way for my creative agency.

This position wasn’t just about marketing events—it was about learning the power of visual communication and how thoughtful design can connect with an audience. It was the launching pad for what would become my growing passion for graphic design.
